The Protest Continues

ThursdayOctober 6, 2011
After a mass demonstration in New York City, which was attended by 15,000 people ,including unions, senior citizens, students and the police.  We see that the people who are protesting and speak for all of us, continue to demonstrate the fundamental rights of Americans to protest peacefully, to speak on our behalf and try to point out that the 99% of people in this country have lost the right to pick and choose the leaders of our government .We hear, our President, ask the Congress to pass a bill that would create jobs, this bill would help employe people to fix the roads and bridges that need repair. The Republican  controlled House of Representatives  kills the bill on the floor the House. How many collapsed bridges would it take to get the House to act on this bill. When a political part comes out and states that their number one priority is to limit the President to one term in office. I would feel that their job is to make sur that I would do  anything in my power to help people have jobs ,feed their families, pay their bills and live their lives as Americans do
When a congressman puts the needs of the people on the back burner and tries just to do the things that will harm the people he represents is it in the best interest of the country to have people like this in office. W Wpay their salaries, we furnish them with the best healthcare, the best retirement anyone could wish for and better pay than most Americans will ever see.  As far as I can tell they work for us we pay  them why don't they do as we ask? So in the real world if your boss asked you to do something and you don't you get fired, or are made accountable.   It seems that the congressman that gets the handout from lobbyist are only responsible to the people the lobbyist   represents, not the people that elected them but to the interest of a select few. I don't think I remember that from any civics classe I attended in school.
I am proud of my fellow Americans who are standing up and protesting against the 1% that control, paid for the people elected to represent me.  I have always believed in government of the people, by the people, for the people. Let's all try to remember  that this country was founded on the principles of a free society.
There are monied interest that would like to see the people in a herding position where they can pay us as little as money as possible to protect what they believe is their right to have as much money as they want. They feel that they are entitled with the power, money, to control the lives of everyone in our country.  The idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is an unalienable right that money should not be able to buy.  They cannot buy a law to stop these rights, but they feel  they can buy, influence the people elected by us,paid by us, with money, gifts and promises, that go against the ideals this country was founded on and this is wrong. Stand up and be heard this also is our right, peaceful protest is our right. Let's take back our rights, lets take back our country!!!
