Reading my email today I came a cross a few suggestion from Warren Buffett, offering a few suggestion on how to fix the deficit in 5 minutes.
He suggests
1.No tenure/No pension.
A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
2.Congress[past,present and future]participates in Social Security. All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into Social Security system and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, like all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a raise.Congressal pay will raise by the lower CPI or 3%.
5. Congress will lose their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with the past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/2012. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congress made all the contracts for themselves.
SERVING IN CONGRESS IS A HONOR,NOT A CAREER.
The founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators,so ours should serve their term[s], then go home and back to work.
This is how you fix Congress.
Warren Buffet is a smart man don't you think. We should demand this from our Congressman and simply do as suggested by a wise man.

The Protest Continues
ThursdayOctober 6, 2011
After a mass demonstration in New York City, which was attended by 15,000 people ,including unions, senior citizens, students and the police. We see that the people who are protesting and speak for all of us, continue to demonstrate the fundamental rights of Americans to protest peacefully, to speak on our behalf and try to point out that the 99% of people in this country have lost the right to pick and choose the leaders of our government .We hear, our President, ask the Congress to pass a bill that would create jobs, this bill would help employe people to fix the roads and bridges that need repair. The Republican controlled House of Representatives kills the bill on the floor the House. How many collapsed bridges would it take to get the House to act on this bill. When a political part comes out and states that their number one priority is to limit the President to one term in office. I would feel that their job is to make sur that I would do anything in my power to help people have jobs ,feed their families, pay their bills and live their lives as Americans do
When a congressman puts the needs of the people on the back burner and tries just to do the things that will harm the people he represents is it in the best interest of the country to have people like this in office. W Wpay their salaries, we furnish them with the best healthcare, the best retirement anyone could wish for and better pay than most Americans will ever see. As far as I can tell they work for us we pay them why don't they do as we ask? So in the real world if your boss asked you to do something and you don't you get fired, or are made accountable. It seems that the congressman that gets the handout from lobbyist are only responsible to the people the lobbyist represents, not the people that elected them but to the interest of a select few. I don't think I remember that from any civics classe I attended in school.
I am proud of my fellow Americans who are standing up and protesting against the 1% that control, paid for the people elected to represent me. I have always believed in government of the people, by the people, for the people. Let's all try to remember that this country was founded on the principles of a free society.

There are monied interest that would like to see the people in a herding position where they can pay us as little as money as possible to protect what they believe is their right to have as much money as they want. They feel that they are entitled with the power, money, to control the lives of everyone in our country. The idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is an unalienable right that money should not be able to buy. They cannot buy a law to stop these rights, but they feel they can buy, influence the people elected by us,paid by us, with money, gifts and promises, that go against the ideals this country was founded on and this is wrong. Stand up and be heard this also is our right, peaceful protest is our right. Let's take back our rights, lets take back our country!!!

The People Protest
Hooray!!It's good to see that the people are finally protesting against Wall Street. We have to let the politicians know, that we the people are sick and tired of them playing political games. The President has asked the Congress to pass this jobs bill that he proposed to Congress. To ask the wealthy people in our country to pay their fair share so we can reduce the deficit. To help create inter-structure jobs for the people, these jobs are for the repair of bridges and highways. There comes a time in the history of a country when the people have to speak to their representatives. These people work for us not some corporation, in order to be heard we have to march if it takes 150 million people to get our message to our representatives we will do it. It's time for our representatives to act for us the people. The Republican representatives have to stop, cutting this out of the budget, cutting that out of the budget they have to realize that we the people want education, want a health plan for everybody, want jobs so people can feed their families, so people can have medical coverage for their families. We all have to remember that those in Congress work for us, not special interest, not the lobbyists, not big business. There's an old saying" we are all in this together, let's work together", we can replace them if it comes down to that, they have to work for us we pay them. So what do we do, we support the people in the streets, we write phone telegraph our congressmen, We wanted jobs bill, we want everyone to pay their fair share of the mess that were in. We did not cause it, it was speculation from Wall Street that has caused this deficit. We will take it to the streets, we will PROTEST, we want OUR voices heard. Again we have the power of the ballot, we expect that the people we elect will do what's good for all of us, not a select few, not the rich, but all of us. Support the people in the streets, go to the rallies, let your voice be heard it's time people to take our government back.
